Goodbye old friends

In the spirit of tidying up, we're saying goodbye to some things we loved. It's a tender, bittersweet farewell but it's totally necessary.

Old timey typewriter ribbons in tins that are to-die-for. 

These cans have been a fixture in my office for many, many years. The motor oil inspired an assignment in one of my Beyond the Page classes. The oysters fascinated me because the photography is so damned unappetizing. That type, though...TASTY!!!

I loves me a good alliterative misspelled brand name and it's tough to beat Kan-Kup for that. The colors of these dreamy drink attachments against the red and white graphics still make my heart sing. 

Our potato head planter from Urban Outfitters served us well throughout the years as a planter (grass seeds), a vase (home grown gardenias) and a change jar. Sad to see this lil guy go.

SOOO much good stuff here: the cool name for skewers, the variety of uses, the price point, the fact that these are an indoor/outdoor item and the food stack-up on the middle skewer!
